It was late on a Friday evening, around 9:30pm, to be exact that 10 year old Tequan Portman got the bare bottom spanking of his young African American life.

Prior to the punishment, Tequan had been playing with his friends out in the front yard when one of them suggested lighting off some fireworks the boys had found on the way home from school. Dusk was just starting to settle on the town and since his parents were not home yet, Tequan said "sure" and went inside to get some matches.

The group went into Tequans back yard and located a place far away from the house where they could unleash the power of the assembled fireworks.

One of his friends decided he didnt want any part of something illegal and split, leaving just Tequan and another boy to do the dastardly deed. Tequan pulled a book of matches out of his shorts pocket and slowly struck it. Putting the flame to the first fire work, he and his friend stepped back as the loud pop and bright lights lit up the back yard.

They continued to light the fireworks, unaware of the time of night, which was getting later and more dark.

They had only a couple of fireworks left when Tequan glanced at his watch and noticed how late it was.

He told his friend this would have to be the last one, because his parents would be home shortly and he most definitely did not want to get caught.

Tequan struck the match, lit the firework and just as it was about to explode, he saw his father come into the back yard.

His dad yelled at him and asked what in Gods name he was doing, playing with fire and lighting fireworks. He reminded him there were trees that could catch fire and the house was not that far away that it, too, couldnt just go up in flames.

Tequan froze and his friend ran out of the yard. The firework embers fell to the ground and Tequan just stood, frozen by the sight of his dad.

It was 9:30 when his father took forcefully by the hand and led him into the house and into his room.

As they were walking his dad was undoing the belt from around his pants and Tequan started to shake at what was about to happen.

Once in his room, his dad sat on the bed, lay the belt down and reached for Tequans short pants.

With one tug they were down to his knees and a moment later his underpants were also down by his ankles. His father took him and lowered his body onto the bed, his very bare bottom sticking up, ready for a good whipping.

Stepping back, his dad gathered the belt and began to attack Tequans bare behind, first the left cheek and then the right. The sound of the belt hitting his bare bottom filled the room and it wasnt long before the sound of crying worked its way into the cacophony of noise.

His little black, bare bottom was starting to get hot and he just prayed the whipping would be over.

But his father was intent on teaching his son a lesson and proceeded to give him 20 long and hard strikes of the belt to the bare skin.

After the whipping was over, his father told Tequan to stand up, keep his pants down and stand in the corner for a full hour, bare bottom exposed for all to see.

It was 10:45pm and Tequan slowly pulled up his shorts and whimpered himself to sleep.
